Stella-Jones (“Stella-Jones”, “we”, “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) is intended to describe how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you use our website, and what your rights are in this regard.

This Notice does not apply to third-party websites including those that can be accessed through hyperlinks made available on our website. If you consult a third-party website, such website will have its own notice and we invite you to consult them before submitting any personal information, where applicable.

What is “personal information”?

“Personal information" refers to any information which relates to a natural person and directly or indirectly allows that person to be identified. It could be your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and financial information (including bank and credit card information).

Your business details, such as your title, email address, business address or telephone number are considered personal information of a public nature.

What personal information do we collect?

When you use our website, we may collect your personal information, such as the following:

  • Your contact information, such as your name, address, email, phone number and Company name;
  • Recruitment information, such as your resume.

In any case, we strive to limit the amount of personal information that we collect to what is strictly necessary for the purposes described in the section “For what purposes do we use your personal information?”. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Do we collect information through “cookies”?

We collect certain information through cookies and other tracking technologies (collectively, “cookies”), when you browse our website.

Cookies are small text files containing a unique identification number which are automatically placed on a visitor's computer. Session cookies track information during an open session and are only temporarily stored in your computer's memory. Persistent cookies are stored on a visitor's computer until they expire or the visitor deletes them.

The cookies that we use do not collect personally identifying information, but rather general information that we do not combine with any personal information.

We use essential and functional cookies so that you can browse our website and use its features properly, and to customize your experience according to your preferences (for example, your language preference). You can consent or not to the activation of some of these functional cookies when you connect to our site. However, if you refuse such cookies, your browsing experience may be affected.

We also use Google Analytics to collect information about your use of our website (for example, the pages that you visit the most, and the error messages that you may receive). Such information is anonymous, and we only use them to improve the efficiency and operation of our website. You can consent or not to the activation of such cookies when you connect to our site.

If you would like more information about cookies, you can consult All About Cookies, or contact us as set forth in the “How to Contact Us?” section.

How do we collect your personal information?

We collect your personal information directly from you, with your consent, when you communicate with us or fill out a form on our website. However, under certain circumstances, we may collect your personal information from third parties when you have consented to it, or where the law allows us to do so (for example, government agencies, financial institutions, or other service providers).

How do we obtain your consent?

In general, we only collect, use, and disclose your personal information with your consent. In some cases, however, the law provides that we may collect, use, or disclose your personal information without your consent (for example, when we are required to disclose your information under a subpoena or court order).

By contacting us, voluntarily filing out a form with your personal information and browsing our website, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Notice. If you provide us with the personal information of a third party, you declare that you have the consent or authority to allow us to collect, use, and disclose such information in accordance with this Notice.

Subject to certain legal or contractual restrictions, you can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us as set forth in the “How to Contact Us?” section.

We may also share your personal information with third parties when required by law, or with service providers (for example, cloud hosting service providers). In the latter case, we take all necessary measures to protect your personal information (for example, by adopting specific contractual measures and limiting the sharing of your personal information).
