Stella-Jones Reports Fourth Quarter and Year End Results

The Board of Directors of Stella-Jones Inc. is pleased to announce that a semi-annual dividend of $0.18 per share has been declared on the outstanding common shares of the Corporation, payable on May 15, 2009 to shareholders of record at the close of business on April 3, 2009. This dividend is designated to be an eligible dividend.

Stella-Jones Inc. today announced financial results for its third quarter and nine-month period ended September 30, 2008. The Company reported strong growth in sales driven by the contribution of The Burke-Parsons-Bowlby Corporation ("BPB"), acquired on April 1, 2008, and by organic growth. However, profitability was in some measure affected by higher raw material and energy costs.

Stella-Jones increases semi-annual dividend by 12,5%

Stella-Jones Inc. is pleased to announce financial results for its first quarter ended March 31, 2008. Sales for the period reached $66.2 million, an increase of $4.2 million, or 6.8% over last year's first quarter sales of $61.9 million. The contribution from the Arlington, Washington facility for the full period in 2008, versus only one month in 2007, accounted for essentially all of this gain. The appreciation of the Canadian dollar, Stella-Jones' reporting currency, reduced the value of U.S. dollar denominated sales by approximately $5.0 million when compared with the same period last year.
